Refugees drown as boat wrecks off Java

A boat, bound to Christmas Island, Australia, carrying hundreds of people fleeing the ongoing violence in the Middle East, sank off Cikole beach, Jakarta on September 28, 2013. Jakarta authorities reported 21 dead and dozens still missing and presumed drowned. There were at least 35 survivors.
