These cobalt blue bottles contained castor oil. They were corked and had embossed pewter seals over the corks. All of these were packed in a barrel that was recovered from the port side of the forward cargo hold of the blockade running steamer Georgiana. The barrel was unpacked on the bottom and the bottles brought to the surface a few at a time. Photo © by Edward L. Spence
